- The total number of deliberate primary fires in the quarter. This was previously NI 33i
Primary fire is any fire involving casualties, rescue or escape OR any fire involving property (including non-derelict vehicles) OR any fire where at least 5 fire appliances attend. An appliance is counted if either the appliance, equipment from it or personnel riding on it, were used to fight the fire.
Secondary fires - secondary fires are reportable fires that were not involving property; were not chimney fires in buildings; did not involve casualties or rescues; were attended by four or fewer appliances. Derelict building or derelict vehicle fires are secondary fires.
Deliberate fire is any fire where the cause of fire is suspected deliberate (excludes accidental and unknown).
