Percentage of sessions missed due to overall absences for children in need (CIN) (3203) Metric type
- Help text
- This metric is a measure of absence from school for children in need Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. A session is equal to a half day.
This measure helps us to understand whether children in need (CIN) as a group are attending school. This is something local authorities collect and understand for other groups of vulnerable children. Figures are based on children in need aged 5 to 16 inclusive. It excludes children who were looked after at any point during the period reported, but includes looked after children who were also the subject of a child protection plan during the same period.
