- Help text
- Sickness rate is calculated by dividing the total number of days of absences by the total days contracted to be worked and multiplied by 100. NB sickness rate can be calculated by supplementing days of absence and total contracted days by hours of absence and total contracted hours. The calculation should include all staff (including school based support staff), but exclude teachers and all staff in fire services. It should be calculated for the financial year (beginning on the 1 April and ending on the 31 March).
