- This is the all mycoplasma genitalium diagnoses among people accessing sexual health services (SHS), expressed as a rate per 100,000 population. Data exclude people accessing SHS services located in England who are resident in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or abroad.
Mycoplasma genitalium (M. gen) is a sexually transmitted pathogen associated with acute and chronic non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU) in men, with a growing body of evidence suggesting its association with post coital bleeding and cervicitis, endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in cisgender women.

Numbers between 1 and 4 with a population less than 10,000 are suppressed. Where counts for City of London are between 1 and 4, these are combined with Hackney.
