- This is the percentage of women aged under 25 years having an abortion in the reported year who have previously had a birth in any year.
The aim of this indicator is to increase awareness of post-partum contraception need at the local level. Local authorities can use this indicator to help identify maternity and contraception needs within their area, and work with Clinical Commissioning Groups where appropriate.
