- A headcount of all leadership group teachers employed by state-funded secondary schools. This includes Head teachers as well as Deputy and Assistant Head teachers.
These results are inclusive of all state-funded secondary schools including academies, converter academies and sponsor led academies, free schools, special schools and pupil referral units for secondary school aged pupils, as well as technical colleges and studio schools. Any centrally employed leadership group teachers working in state-funded secondary schools are also included in these figure as are the leadership group teachers of any middle schools deemed secondary schools. All through schools are deemed secondary and are included in these figures.
Headcount figures are based on the number of leadership group teachers with an employment contract.
