The mean number of the daily portions of fruit and fruit juice consumed by 15 year olds in the What About YOUth (WAY) survey. The total number of portions of fruit and fruit juice consumed (fruit capped at 10 portions, fruit juice capped at 1 portion) by the WAY survey respondents in the denominator. Calculated as based on responses to questions Q5 and Q6.

  • Q5: "Thinking just about YESTERDAY can you tell me how many portions of fruit juice (pure juice / 100% freshly squeezed / fruit smoothies / juice from concentrate BUT NOT juice based drinks such as squash) you had?

  • Q6: "Thinking just about YESTERDAY can you tell me how many portions of fruit fresh frozen, tinned or dried you ate?
