- The percentage of working days lost due to sickness absence in the previous week. This is calculated by PHE based on data provided by ONS Labour Force Survey and is numerator divided by the denominator and multiplied by 100. Where, the numerator is the weighted number of days lost in the previous week due to sickness absence and the denominator is the weighted total number of days due to be worked in the previous week by adults aged 16+.
