- This metric is the number of unique visits received to the authority's website in the period, excluding visit from the authority's own staff. Unique visits or unique visitors are the number of distinct individuals that visit a website in the period regardless of how many times they have visited the site in that period. The number of unique visits will be far less that the number of visits because a unique visit is only tracked if cookies are enabled on the visitors computer.
