- Help text
- This is the number of secondary schools at or in excess of capacity as a percentage of total secondary schools in the authority. It is based on data from the School Capacity survey and School Census. Secondary schools cover the year groups 7 to 13. Secondary places include all reported capacity in middle-deemed secondary and all-through schools.
They include pupils educated in community, foundation, voluntary and middle schools as deemed. Includes academies/free schools and sixth form places. Excludes all special schools places.
Number on roll figures are taken from the summer (May) census for the relevant academic year, except for new schools (including schools that have become academies) where figures are based on data gathered during the school capacity collection.
2019/20 data not available due to the cancellation of the 2020 School Capacity survey due to COVID-19.
