- This is the percentage of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) from any other Asian background not otherwise separately defined. Pupils of all ages have been classified according to their ethnic group. Every ethnic origin other than White British are defined as being of minority ethnic background.
Totals include state-funded nursery, primary, secondary and special schools, non-maintained special schools and pupil referral units. Does not include independent schools. This is based on a headcount of all pupils, full time and part time.
Totals include pupils in general hospital schools, however ethnicity data is not available for these pupils. Breakdowns may not sum to totals as a result.
The information is based on data collected via the pupil level spring school census, school level annual school census, general hospital schools census and alternative provision census.
