Number of Looked After Children at the end of key stage 4 achieving a pass in English and mathematics at grade 5 or above. Pupils can achieve the English component of this with a grade 5 or above in English language or literature, there is no requirement to sit both exams. For transparency and to allow comparison to 2016, the threshold attainment measures are published at grade 4 or above, as additional measures (from 2017).
The local authority attainment data has children recently arrived from overseas removed. As a result, national level England figures don't match national figures from local authority data.
