- This is the number of dwellings owned by the local authority let through mutual exchanges where the tenant has moved within the local authority geographical area. If the mutual exchange has taken place within the authority's own stock, both dwellings are accounted for here.
Mutual exchanges of the authority’s properties arranged via a third party (such as the mutual exchange providers participating in HomeSwap Direct, the national home swap scheme) and those arranged independently by tenants are included.
