Number of appeals dismissed - Quarterly (3419) Metric type

- The number of planning appeal decisions dismissed against the authority's decision to refuse on planning applications. This metric includes all appeal decisions allowed if the date of the Planning Inspector or Secretary of State's decision was within the reporting period, regardless of when the appeal was lodged.
If a planning decision has been dismissed this means that planning permission was not subsequently granted.
Until Q3 2015/16 data was uploaded from table 6.1 of the Planning Inspectorate: Statistical Report, post this period all data has been calculated from Planning Inspectorate Appeals Data
