- This metric is the total amount that authorities expect to collect if every taxpayer paid the full amount for which they are liable for the current financial year after discounts and benefits. Debts (i.e. council tax bills) raised; it should be net of any discounts granted for prompt payment.
As the metric is expressed as amounts caution should be used when making comparisons with other authorities as the data is influenced by the number and size of rateable businesses/non-domestic properties in an area.
