Percentage of pensioners who live alone (3328) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the number of people aged 66 and over (aged 65 and over for the 2011 Census) living alone as a percentage of the total number of people aged 65 and over. At the time of the 2021 Census the state pension age was 66 for both men and women. The denominator used for this metric has been kept unchanged. Social isolation, loneliness and higher levels of deprivation are all linked with pensioners who live alone.
