- DISCONTINUED DATA - Final available dataset: fin_2012_13 This is the percentage of children in need achieving level 4 or above including English & mathematics at Key Stage 2. This is based on those children at the end of Key Stage 2 in the year reported, in all state funded primary schools. This measure excludes children who were looked after at any point during the period reported, but includes looked after children who were also the subject of a child protection plan during the period.
Children in need are those who have been referred to the local authority and have been assessed to be in need of services. These services can include, for example, family support (to help keep together families experiencing difficulties), leaving care support (to
help young people who have left local authority care), adoption support, or disabled children’s services (including social care, education and health provision).
