Total Core Spending Power Per Dwelling (Actual) (22066) Metric type
- Help text
- This metric provides an overview of how core revenue funding available for local authority services through the Local Government Finance Settlement varies per dwelling in comparison with other local authorities. Core Spending Power per dwelling is calculated by dividing the total Core Spending Power (CSP) available to a local authority by the number of dwellings within that locality.
Core Spending Power (CSP) is a measure of the resources available to local authorities to fund service delivery. It sets out the money that has been made available to local authorities through the Local Government Finance Settlement (LGFS). The pots of money that make up CPS vary from year to year but the figures form 2015-16 have been adjusted to ensure a consistent measure of local authority income over time. The dwellings figures used in this calculation are as at September of the reference year.
