This is the total number of non-major planning applications (PAs) granted, each financial year. This figure includes decisions within the agreed time, those decided after agreed extensions of time and late decisions.

PA: This is short for 'planning agreement' which is used in the planning application statistics a shorthand term for covering Planning Performance Agreements.

These are changes of use where the area is less than one hectare and householder developments.

Whilst this indicator focuses on minor and other applications, data is also available broken down by county matter and major applications. This includes the following minor development types: dwellings, general industry/storage/warehousing, offices/R&D/light industry, retail and services, traveller caravan pitches, other developments and the following from other planning types: change of use, householder developments. Please be aware that this metric also includes advertisements, listed building consents (to alter or extend), listed building consents (to demolish), relevant demolition in a conservation area.
