Did you know we have a dedicated powers and duties tool?
Available to LG Inform Plus subscribers, it provides information on what current legislation gives English and Welsh councils the power to do and what it requires them to do in law. Advanced searching and filtering options make it easy to find specific powers and duties based on legislation, business function and keyword, and results are easily exported in commonly used formats.

Proportion of patients registered at a GP practice aged 40 to 44 (17244) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the percentage of patients aged 40 to 44 registered at a GP on the first day of the month for that quarter, as a proportion of the total number of patients registered. This snapshot is based on the postcode of the practice taken from the Primary Care Registration database within the NHAIS (National Health Application and Infrastructure Services) system.
The data is published at Lower Layer Super Output Areas (LSOA) and therefore a patient may not be resident in the same area as their GP practice. For Wards where there are no GP practices a zero will be output for those areas. Anyone regardless of nationality and residential status, including homeless patients and those with no immigration status, may register with a GP without charge.
The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has led to changes in the work of General Practices and subsequently would have impacted the patient numbers within this publication.
