- This is the average equity stake of transactions, as a percentage, in staircasing transactions in the financial year. This is based on the value of the property at the time of staircasing not the orginal purchase price.. A staircasing transaction is where the shared owner increases their equity stake beyond their initial purchase. It is calculated from the sum of total value of staircasing transactions divided by the sum of all property values at the time of staircasing, multiplied by 100.
