Delayed transfer of care beds daily expectations, attributable jointly to the NHS and social care (12307) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the average daily expectation for number of delayed transfer of care (DTOC) beds jointly attributable to both the NHS and local authority adult social care services. This is not a total figure but rather includes only those DTOC beds which are themselves jointly attributable to both the NHS and adult social care. This figure is a targeted average daily number of beds to which actual numbers of DTOC beds jointly attributable to both the NHS and social care may be compared.
These expectations come from the Better Care Fund Planning data aggregation issued annually by NHS Digital. This data is an aggregation of Better Care Fund plan data submitted on the planning template by Health and Wellbeing Boards (HWBs) as part of the two year BCF planning cycle. Please note that where possible all data for Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and Bournemouth and Poole has been combined to form Cornwall & Scilly HWB and Bournemouth & Poole HWB respectively.
