- This is the percentage of deaths of all ages registered that are reported as taking place in other locations besides, a home, hospice, care home or hospital. This includes deaths due to external causes and all other causes of death.
This group includes psychiatric hospitals, schools, convents and monasteries, university and college halls of residence, young offender institutions, secure training centres, detention centres, prisons and remand homes. It also includes places such as someone else’s home, a work place, public place, or not in a building, for example on a road. This category also includes people pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
