Public safety - consultation when preparing a strategy for serious violence Duty
- Description
- Local authorities must consult with:
- each educational authority for the area
- each prison authority for the area;
- each youth custody authority for the area
when preparing a strategy for exercising their functions to prevent and reduce serious violence in the area.
In addition where two or more specified authorities have chosen to collaborate (see section 9) they must also consult every other specified authority for the area.
