- Description
- A local authority, for the purpose of enabling persons to take advantage of any educational facilities available to them, may in such circumstances as may be specified in or determined in accordance with regulations pay such expenses of children attending community, foundation, voluntary or special schools as may be necessary to enable them to take part in any school activities and grant scholarships, exhibitions, bursaries and other allowances in respect of persons over compulsory school age.
