Percentage of sessions missed due to overall absences for children who have been looked after continuously for at least twelve months at 31 March (854) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the number of overall absenses from school of children who have been looked after for at least 12 months. The denominator used to calculate this percentage is based on children looked after continuously for at least twelve months as at 31 March excluding those children in respite care. Figures are based on looked after children aged 5 to 16 inclusive.
Absence information is collected from primary and secondary schools, city technology colleges (CTCs) and academies, maintained and non-maintained special schools. This is then matched via the National pupil Database (NPD). Overall absence includes authorised and unauthorised absences.
