IMD - Living Environment Deprivation - average rank (8360) Metric type
- Help text
- The domain measures the quality of the local environment. The indicators fall into two sub-domains. The 'indoors' living environment measures the quality of housing; while the 'outdoors' living environment contains measures of air quality and road traffic accidents.
Average rank is a local authority level measure which represents the population weighted average of the ranks of LSOAs in the area. The more deprived is an area, the higher the IMD score but the lower the rank. Further detail on the Index of multiple deprivation (IMD) can be found at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/english-indices-of-deprivation
