Help text
This is an estimate of the total number of males with temporary/casual employment arrangements who are working part time in each local authority, expressed as a full time equivalent (fte). Part time employees are defined as those who work less than standard contracted hours. Employees with fixed-term contracts of 12 months or less are classed as temporary employees.

Where appropriate estimates include all employees reported by local authorities as working in primary, secondary and adult education establishments, including teachers and some groups who are not covered by the Department for Education statistics, such as adult education staff and certain categories of support staff. However due to outsourcing of payroll some authorities may have lost access to this data and therefore under reporting.
Firefighters and police staff are not included
