- This is the number of county matter planning applications (PAs) determined in a timely manner, each financial quarter.
PA: This is short for 'planning agreement' which is used in the planning application statistics a shorthand term for covering Planning Performance Agreements.
A timely manner is statutory defined as within 13 weeks or unless an application is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment, in which case a 16 weeks period applies, for all county matter applications.

Whilst this indicator focuses on county matter applications (and therefore only applies to county councils and those authorities who determine predominantly county level minerals and waste applications), data is also available broken down by major, minor and other applications.
