- This category shows police-recorded crimes where a trespasser has entered a non-domestic building (e.g. a shop, office or garage that does not have an entrance to a home) to steal or commit damage. This is not the same as business robbery, which is recorded where the offender has used force (or threatened to do so) in order to steal. This category also includes attempted burglaries. This data is based on rolling calendar quarter covering 12 months.
