The annual local government finance settlement is concerned with the distribution of revenue raised from business rates, through business rates retention, and the distribution of Revenue Support Grant. The settlement provides local authorities with information on how much Revenue Support Grant they have been allocated for the next financial year. It may also provide illustrative information on allocations for the year or years following the next financial year.
