Number of mothers who received a first face-to-face antenatal contact with a health visitor at 28 weeks or above (4216) Metric type
- Help text
- Count of number of mothers who received a first contact with a health visitor when they were 28 weeks pregnant or later, before they gave birth.
Definition: This should be a count of mothers who received a first contact with a health visitor when they were 28 weeks pregnant or greater, before they gave birth. Visits which occurred within the quarter should be counted (e.g. for Q1 2021/22, visits which occurred between 1st April and 30th June inclusive). The number of visits, not the number of children should be counted.
Notes: This is defined as a count rather than a percentage because of the difficulty of defining a denominator to which antenatal visits can be linked within current data collection systems.
