- Level of net assets (total assets less total liabilities) weighted according to total net revenue expenditure.
The indicator differentiates those authorities which over time have a relatively higher level of liabilities to fund and limited assets from which to do so, making additional financing costs likely in the years ahead.
The higher the value the higher the level of net assets.
Calculated as: (net worth as at 31st March (total assets as at 31 March) - (total liabilities as at 31 March)) / (net revenue expenditure budget)
Net worth is taken from the Whole of Government Accounts and Net revenue expenditure from the Budget Revenue Account (RA Summary) returns
