Digital exclusion infrastructure, access, skills and use composite - score (3886) Metric type
- Help text
- The purpose of this metric is to identify which areas are potentially at risk of digital exclusion relative to other areas. This is based on several metrics covering broadband infrastructure and use. The higher the score the more digitally excluded an area is likely to be.
Areas are assigned one of three scores based on the sum of scores achieved for each of the sub-indicators: areas less than or equal to the bottom quintile (20%) value are assigned a score of 0, areas greater than the bottom quintile but less than the top quintile value are assigned a score of 3, areas greater than or equal to the top quintile are assigned a score of 6.
It has been produced by GoOnUK using data sourced from Ofcom's annual Infrastructure Report, Ipsos Connect quarterly technology tracker and ONS' Internet Access Quarterly Update.
