- This indicator is pharmacies in a local authority area. It was derived by the LGA to give a sense of health service provision in each authority and was sourced from the Health and Social Care Information Centre's Organisation Data Service publication GPs, GP Practices, Nurses and Pharmacies (http://tinyurl.com/m3go89k). This list provides address details of all pharmacies in England and postcodes were matched to a local authority using the ONS National Statistics Postcode Lookup (NSPL) (https://geoportal.statistics.gov.uk), providing an estimate of the number of pharmacies within each local authority. All Appliance Contractor and Oxygen concentrator supplier cases were excluded from the data and only Pharmacy cases were included
