Non-domestic rates collected financial - quarterly (3404) Metric type

- This metric is the total receipts of non-domestic rates collected during the financial year, broken down by quarter, irrespective of the financial year (previous, current or future years) to which the receipts relate.
As the metric is expressed as amounts caution should be used when making comparisons with other authorities as the data is influenced by the number and size of rateable businesses/non-domestic properties in an area.
When comparing non-domestic receipts received across quarters users should be aware that collection cycles are set locally either over a 12 month or 10 month period and some authorities receive significant payments in advance affecting the distribution of receipts over the year.
County data is the sum of billing authorities.
