- Figures to 2014 are based on ONS mid-year population estimates and projected rates of household formation from trends in Census and Labour Force Survey data. Other data sources, such as the Labour Force Survey, provide direct sample survey estimates of the number of households in each year and therefore may differ from the estimates shown here.
Sub regional household projections are less robust than those at the regional level, particularly for those areas with relatively small numbers of households. This should be taken into account in using the figures. Due to rounding, districts may not sum to regional totals.
