- This indicator is the percentage of former care leavers aged 19 who were looked after under any legal status on 1 April in their 17th year, who are in suitable accommodation.
Accommodation is to be regarded as suitable if it provides safe, secure and affordable provision for young people. It would generally include short-term accommodation designed to move young people on to stable long-term accommodation, but would exclude emergency accommodation used in a crisis. This was previously reported as NI 147.
