Older people in deprivation (2010) (number) (3279) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the number of adults aged 60 or over living in pension credit (guarantee) households. It is taken from the Income Deprivation Affecting Older People Index (IDAOPI) produced as part of the indices of deprivation (IMD).
This indicator is a measure of older people living in poverty. Tackling poverty can support greater independence and wellbeing in later life. Patients living in more deprived areas have greater need for health services.
