- This is the number of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C or equivalent including English and Maths at Key Stage 4 (KS4) as a percentage of the number of pupils at the end of KS4. This was previously reported as NI 75.

Two major reforms have been implemented which affect the calculation of Key Stage 4 (KS4) performance measures data: 1. Professor Alison Wolf's Review of Vocational Education recommendations which: restrict the qualifications counted; prevent any qualification from counting as larger than one GCSE; and cap the number of non-GCSEs included in performance measures at two per pupil. 2. An early entry policy to only count a pupil's first attempt at a qualification. Comparisons between 2013/14 and earlier years should not be made before reading sections 2 and 3 of the statistical first release:

Local authority, region and the England total figures cover achievements in state-funded schools only. They do not include pupils recently arrived from overseas and so will not match with state-funded figures in the main tables.
