- This is the percentage of state-funded secondary school pupils in the area who attend academies, including any city technology colleges. Academies include secondary sponsor-led academies, converter academies, free schools, studio schools and university technical colleges. This does not include community schools, foundation schools, voluntary aided schools and voluntary controlled schools.
The information is based on data collected via the pupil level spring school census, school level annual school census, general hospital schools census and alternative provision census.
