- This is the number of looked after children who had been in care continuously for 12 months at 31 March, who achieved the equivalent of at least 5 A*-C GCSEs, including English and mathematics (or equivalent) the following summer. This figure is given as a percentage of the total number of looked after children who had been in care continuously for 12 months at 31 March.
This was previously reported as NI 101.
Note that previous to 2009/10, due to data changes, the cohort was children who had been looked after continuously for 12 months at 30 September, with the calculation based on their attainment in the previous summer.
