Proportion of Social Care Service users with control over their daily life (10669) Metric type
- Help text
- This is the proportion of respondents to the Adult Social Care Survey who felt they had control over their daily life by answering 1 or 2 to the question: Which of the following statements best describes how much control you have over your daily life?' The measure is defined by determining the percentage of all those responding either ‘I have as much control over my daily life as I want’ or “I have adequate control over my daily life”. These two responses have been chosen to focus the measure on those individuals achieving the best outcomes, identifying no or limited need in this area. The measure gives an overall indication of the reported outcome for individuals – it does not, at present, identify the specific contribution of councils’ adult social care towards the outcome.
