- This is the number of applications for prior approval for permitted development for larger household extensions where the application was granted.
Larger householder extensions are defined as greater than 4 metres but less than 8 metres for detached dwelling houses, or 3 metres but less than 6 metres for other dwelling houses, as covered by the neighbour notification scheme as set out in paragraph A.4 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015, Schedule 2, Part 1).
Granted applications include:
- any applications where a local planning authority has made an explicit decision following an objection or following consideration of evidence provided;
- any applications where the local planning authority has provide a written notice giving their prior approval.
