Public health - authority actions where child excluded from school Duty
- Description
- Where a local authority has required that a child is kept away from school for public health reasons the authority must as soon as reasonably practicable after serving such notice inform the headteacher of the child's school that it has served the notice and of the contents of the notice.
The authority must review the notice within 5 working days beginning with the day on which the request is made where the child's parent is requesting a review in respect of that notice for the first time and must inform the parent and the headteacher of the child's school of the outcome of the review.
A local authority must inform the child's parent and the headteacher of the child's school as soon as reasonably practicable where a notice has expired and no further notice is to be served.
